Kisanwala
AgTech app connecting farmers with inputs, machinery rental, market prices, and crop diagnostics.
- Flutter
- Dart
- Riverpod
- REST APIs
- Android
Problem
Farmers need a single place to buy trusted farm inputs, access machinery, track market prices, and get expert crop guidance — instead of juggling separate, disconnected channels.
Solution
A farmer-facing app for buying seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers, renting machinery on demand, tracking real-time market prices, and getting crop diagnosis and expert advice.
Architecture
Rebuilt Version 3 from the legacy Version 2 platform — new project structure, Riverpod-based state management, and a defined API integration strategy with reusable UI components.
Challenges
- Modernizing a live production app used by a large existing farmer base without disrupting their workflows.
- Establishing a scalable state management and component architecture the team could build on long-term.
- Integrating multiple backend services and third-party solutions reliably.
Outcomes
- Delivered a modernized, more usable and maintainable app for an existing large farmer user base.
- Reduced technical debt and improved code quality through modular development practices.
